Luddington & Garthorpe Primary

Welcome to our school

Welcome to Luddington and Garthorpe Primary school’s website.  I am extremely proud to be Head Teacher of such a warm, welcoming and friendly school.

We are a very warm and welcoming small village school in North Lincolnshire. We have 86 pupils on roll at present, including Nursery. The friendly family atmosphere reflects the caring attitude of the pupils and the staff. We aim for everyone in school to be safe, happy and enjoy themselves. Our standards and expectations are high.We work in partnership with parents/carers and the wider community to ensure the success of our children. We believe that children deserve the best possible chances in life and that they learn best when there are strong links between home and school.

I hope you enjoy finding out more about our school by browsing our website.  Here you will find a wide range of information about our school, including the latest news and announcements, curriculum information, news from each class, school policies and procedures, our mission statement, a school calendar, links to other useful sites and resources and much more. The site is being updated all the time, so please bookmark it and visit again soon!  Visits are encouraged and welcomed: we would be delighted to show you around our wonderful school.

Dear parents/carers,

I am delighted to announce that we have managed to arrange for Hall Farm at Eastoft to host our harvest festival this year.  We plan to have a combined event with both schools on Friday 18th October at 9.15 a.m.  Eastoft Parents, apologies that the date has been moved by a week but the farm is unable to host on the original day.  We hope that this will be the start of many joint celebrations and all children from both schools will be participating in some way.

Eastoft parents, please bring your child to school slightly early for registration at 8.45 a.m.  We’ll then walk together as a school.  Luddington parents, please bring your children directly to the farm and find your child’s teacher for registration.

It is really important that you complete the online form please so that we know a) whether you intend to join us or b) you will need your child to be transported to the farm. We expect the celebration to last approximately an hour.  Once it has finished, Eastoft parents will walk their children back to school and Luddington parents will be asked to drop their child back off at school.  If necessary, we’ll organise a bus for Luddington children but we are trying to keep the costs down if possible.

We would like to donate produce to the local food banks.*  It would be great if you could make a harvest hamper, either as a family or as a group.  Please bring donations to the farm but do not feel under any pressure to provide if you are unable to do so.

Please use the form to ask any questions.  We hope to see as many of you as possible.  Thanks

*If you would like to donate your basket to the food bank, please only include the following items: • Pasta sauce • Tinned meat/fish • Long life milk • Pasta/ Rice (500g) • Tinned vegetables • Tinned rice pudding • Biscuits/ snacks • Tinned tomatoes • Tea bags

In September, we will be entering into a soft federation with Eastoft C of E Primary.  Whilst all teachers and support staff will remain at Luddington, I will be spending 50% of my time at Luddington and 50% at Eastoft.  As much as possible, the times will be the same each week.

For the Autumn Term, this is where you will be able to get hold of me:

  Morning Afternoon
Monday Eastoft Luddington

Wednesday Eastoft Luddington
Thursday Luddington Eastoft
Friday Eastoft Luddington
